Supreme Store Locator – Privacy Policy

Supreme Store Locator (“the App”) enables Shopify merchants to display store or location-based maps on their storefront, helping customers discover nearby physical stores or locations (“the Service”). This Privacy Policy details how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App alongside your Shopify-supported store.

Personal Information the App Collects

From Your Shopify Account (upon installation):

  • Store Information – Store name, store email, and store owner name

  • Theme or Merchant Permissions – Used to insert map widgets or geolocation features into the store theme

From Store Visitors:

  • IP Address – Used to approximate visitor location (for map centering or distance sorting)

  • Browser & Device Details – Browser type, language, device, and referring URL (for performance monitoring)

  • Geolocation (Optional) – If the visitor explicitly shares location via browser prompts (used only to enhance map accuracy)

  • Session Events – Map interactions (e.g., store clicks, zoom levels), page requests, timestamps

We collect this personal information through Shopify APIs and via the following technologies:

  • Log Files – Recording IPs, browser, ISP, referrer/exit, date/time

  • Cookies – If enabled, used to remember map settings or user preferences (learn more at allaboutcookies.org)

  • Web Beacons / Tags – Employed optionally to measure map load success and interaction

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the collected data exclusively to:

  • Center and customize the store map based on visitor location

  • Provide distance-sorting features and relevant results

  • Understand map usage and interactions to troubleshoot or enhance functionality

  • Communicate necessary updates, support information, or troubleshooting alerts to merchants

  • Improve loading performance and overall App reliability

We do not use visitor data for behavioral advertising or for marketing purposes outside the scope of the map feature.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We only share your data with:

  • Shopify Inc. – For authenticating installation and proper theme rendering

  • Geolocation/IP Services – To determine approximate visitor location

  • Cloud Providers – (e.g., AWS or similar) for hosting map data, visitor logs, and configurations

We may also disclose information to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, or protect our legal rights.

Behavioural Advertising

We do not use any visitor data collected by this App for behavioral or targeted advertising.

Your Rights (for European Residents)

If you reside in the EU, you have the following rights:

  • Access any personal data we hold about you

  • Request correction, updating, or deletion of your data

To exercise your rights, please contact us below. Note that data may be processed outside the EU (e.g. in the US or Canada) for geolocation and hosting.

Data Retention

  • IP and session logs: retained for 30 days to ensure service accuracy and enable support

  • Map settings and merchant configurations: retained while the App is installed

  • Upon uninstallation, all visitor logs and geolocation data are deleted within 30 days, unless legally obligated to retain them

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect enhancements to the App, changes in third-party services, or legal/regulatory developments. We’ll post changes there and update the “Last Updated” timestamp accordingly.
