Store Translation Supreme – Privacy Policy

Store Translation Supreme (“the App”) enables Shopify merchants to automatically translate storefront content across multiple languages to serve international customers (“the Service”). This Privacy Policy outlines how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.


Personal Information the App Collects

From Shopify Account (upon installation):

  • Store Information – Store name, store email, store owner name

  • Theme & Content Access – Page texts, product titles and descriptions, collection names, navigation menus, and metafields (to perform translation)

From Merchants/Admins:

  • Merchant’s name, email address, and billing information (for support and account management)

From Store Visitors (via the storefront/interface):

  • IP address, browser and device details, geolocation data (used to deliver appropriate language version)

  • Cookie data related to language preference and session behavior

  • Timestamps and navigation events (collected via log files, web beacons, tags, or pixels for debugging and performance)

We collect this personal information directly, through your Shopify data permissions, or using the following technologies:

  • Log Files – Capture IP address, browser, ISP, referrer/exit pages, timestamps

  • Web Beacons, Tags, and Pixels – For monitoring translation requests and app interactions on your storefront


How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

  • Automatically detect visitor language and deliver translated content

Data Retention

  • Translation Metadata (settings, mapping): retained while the App is installed

  • Visitor Logs (IP addresses, language preferences): retained for up to 30 days for performance monitoring

  • Upon uninstallation, we delete all translation-related data within 30 days, unless legally required to retain it


Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, translation engine providers, or legal requirements.
